This tea was one of the first of the "baked goods" series - teas that are meant to be the tea version of a bread or a cookie or a favoured dessert. This one started with the idea of gingerbread. There is an herbal companion tea (But So Do We), as this one was created before I had acquired decaffeinated variants for English Breakfast and Earl Grey, and it was the way I could make the flavour sets accessible for people who wanted to avoid caffeine.

The Horrors Persist was also the tea chosen for the November 2024 tea of the month, and it was definitely renamed for the vibes of that timeframe.
